Marion Angelica has received an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board as well as a Jerome grant from Northern Clay Center. The grants are for interlocking projects.
Marion is very interested in the land formations, plant life and colors of the high desert around Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her project for both grants is to study these and integrate them into her work.
Marion will spend 6 weeks this autumn living in Santa Fe and working at Santa Fe Clay studios. She’ll return for another 6 weeks in the spring of 2013. Two shows are scheduled to showcase the results of her work – January, 2013 at the Northern Clay Center and May, 2013 at the Homewood Gallery.
Congratulations Marion, we wish you well on your great adventure.
